Well we have officially reached the point where
everyone is asking when the baby is coming!

We are pretty much ready. There are a few last
minute things to throw in the hospital bag, but other
than that, we're good to go!

Here's the most recent belly pic, at 37 weeks. I
thought it couldn't grow much more but looks like
I was wrong. It's sticking out quite a bit!

35 Weeks

Well we are now at 36 weeks as of this post, but
I haven't uploaded the 36 week picture yet!

Here's "mommy's" birth picture. I hope our
child takes after his father's birth weight.
I was chubby and look like my grandfather!
Here's "daddy's" birth picture. He looks like he
is trying to fix his hair or something :)

And here's the 35 week belly taken on
Thanksgiving day. It's not really a profile shot
but you can still see the large nature of the belly.

Still getting ready!

Everything is pretty much done.
This little guy has his own bathroom!
Here are the coming home outfits. I'm going
to take both to the hospital with me and we'll see
how cold it is the day we bring him home, etc.

A drawer full of blankets. The bottom two are
hand-knitted by his grandma and the top one is
the Beba Bean swaddler from Erin.

Drawers are neat. I've been warned they won't
stay this way. I think the warners are forgetting
who I am married to :)

Diapers and "grooming kit". They're so small.

33-34 Weeks

The nursery is almost ready!
Here's a shot of the adorable toy chest
Erin made him!
Nate put the bassinet together, we love it!
It's staying in the closet for now...
33 & 34 Week Belly Pics.
Definitely a baby in there!
This pregnancy is really starting to wear
on Taylor. Luckily Grandma got her a
Snuggie to help her cope!

Hanging things in nursery!

Tonight (11.11.09) we worked on hanging things
in the nursery after our 33 week doctor
appointment.

Baby Boy Lipton is measuring right on track
and his heartbeat was good too!

We ended up with the Roman Shades even
though they received zero votes :)

Daddy shot down the white wood blinds.

We both agreed we didn't want to cover
the nice trim with drapes.

And the quality of the roman shades we
found was so much nicer than the cellulars, plus
we wanted something different than what's
in the rest of the house.

Long story short = white roman shades!
(from Lowe's)

We also hung a mirror above the chest,
from Lowe's as well.
You would not believe how hard it was to find
white picture frames.

We originally bought one at the Christmas Tree
Shoppes, but when we tried to get two more, found
they were in bad shape!

Finally we tracked down these at AC Moore and
very, very luckily happened to land them
on sale. White frames are also not
cheap!

The prints were purchased on eBay from a
shop called "Posh Custom Art by Terezie"

She hand painted them and then printed them
on heavy cardstock - they were designed to
match the Pottery Barn Lambie bedding!

Right now I'm working on getting all the clothes
washed and ironed. This weekend I want to get
them put away and the rest of the nursery
organized!

The time is rapidly approaching :)

32 Weeks & Working on Nursery

The time is quickly approaching!
We are trying to get the nursery in order, it is no
longer an empty, blank slate!

I used the extra drawer liners to line these
white boxes. I'm thinking they'll be used
to store some of his small items like
booties and hats.

Here is a close-up of the lambie bank Erin made for him.
It's too cute!

The lambie bank and the lamp! The lamp was a gift from
Carolyn and Leandra. Then I got an English Barrel
lamp shade at Restoration Hardware in "flax".

Here's the messy closet. This is the "before".
I am working on washing and organizing all the
little clothes!
Notice the stuffed animals strategically placed
inside the closet, out of Taylor's reach :)

Chaos!

More chaos!

And WOW. No more tiny belly.

Baby Shower

We were VERY lucky to have such a nice shower thrown for us by Nate's
mom. Godmother Erin put a lot of time, effort, and spending into it as
well!

Erin created and sent out the cute blue pumpkin invites.

Erin, Lili, and Nate's mom all made the chocolate covered
pretzel favors.

Here are "mom and dad"!!!

Holding the massive strands of clothing that came out of the
toy chest Erin made to match the nursery theme!

Nate's mom picked and took care of everything at the best venue
ever, Roma! The food was amazing!

Italian Salad, Pasta Primavera, Chicken Marsala, and Meatballs
and fresh rolls.

Diaper cake made by Erin. Not only is it fantastic in
appearance, but the diapers can actually be used!

Desserts!!! So good!

Erin made orange cookies, chocolate chip cookies, and
peanut butter cookies.

Aunt Patty made ricotta cookies with little blue booties!

Lili made white chocolate fudge balls in sugar or coconut.

Nate's mom made funfetti cookies (Nate's favorite!)

Pete made us mini cannolis!

Erin & Nate's mom in a partially candid shot!

Obviously he will be a Yankees fan.

The cake, also from Nate's mom!

Furniture :)

I think I posted the information about the furniture
before, but just in case...

Manufacturer: Munire
Collection: Madison
Color: Espresso

This is a long dresser that we will use for the
changing table:

Obviously the crib, which Nate did an excellent job putting together.

The chest. The chair will go in the corner to the right of
the chest when it comes in (should be here within 2
weeks or so). Other than that, we are out of room :)

Not going to put anything else in here just to keep it
somewhat spacious.

I need to take a better picture of the ceiling fan that
Nate also installed today, but you can see the pulls
(which will be swapped out) in the top of this picture.

Nursery "Before"

Well today I kicked Taylor out and moved her
crate to the guest room.

Nate and I cleaned the nursery extensively
in preparation for the furniture to be moved in.

The doorway to the right is the entrance to the room.

Across from the entrance to the room,
one of the windows.

Both windows.

The closet. So far we have two shelves the entire
length of the closet.

I still have to find a way to get more organizers
in there to accommodate all the little stuff.

"Daddy" putting the crib together.

26 Weeks, Furniture, Bedding

Everything is progressing! Including the belly:

26 Weeks

Nate went to get the furniture Saturday 9/12. Right now it's
still in the garage. I need to move Taylor's crate and give the
nursery a thorough cleaning. We also want to get a ceiling
fan in there asap!
Here's what the garage looks like right now:

We also finally got most of the bedding. We still need to get

a matching sheet with little lambs on it, but what we have will

do for now:

Daddy's First Purchase

Nate came home with a gift for the baby this week. He found this
at the baby speciality store Kiddoodles in Scranton. It's a "nap
mat" by Stephen Joseph. It also rolls up and can be worn as a
backpack!

It's the softest thing ever!
