Holidays 2011

Well I've been a major slacker as usual. Gabe has been having a great time between all the holidays and his birthday! We really can't believe he is two. He is just the sweetest boy in the whole world.

For his second birthday, we had a baseball party at the PHA Warehouse, he loves it there. It was hard to get a picture of him standing still because he was running around the whole time!

Christmas was so much fun this year - he really enjoyed it more this year because he understood so much more. He wasn't a big fan of Santa - we couldn't even get a picture of him with Santa! He liked the tree and he really liked opening presents!

And of course we had the actual birthday! We had some fun presents for him when he woke up and then at night we took him to Friendly's for birthday dinner and ice cream!

Pun-gin.

Pungin.  That's what Gabe calls a pumpkin :)

Tonight we carved pumpkins.  Gabe definitely did not want to touch
the yucky insides.  Daddy had to handle all of that.  He didn't want to
stop carving though. He also thought the "pungin" needed a "binggy".
He had a good time!

Something funny Gabe is doing now... Whenever he burps or toots,
he gets a grin on his face and says "piddy" (Piggy).  It's so cute!

Happy Boy!

This past weekend we took Gabe to the Fall Festival at Pioneer Evergreen Farms.
He had a fantastic time.  We love seeing how happy he is!
He thought it was funny to stick his head through the scarecrow.

He was giggling so hard when he was in the ball pit.  There were some kids in there
throwing balls around and a few hit him in the face.  He didn't even care, he was having
such a good time!

This is another great shot of him in the bouncies.  He was really just thrilled
to be there.  He really enjoyed having out with his buddies "Dack" (Jack) and "Wyan" (Ryan)

Gabe's First Vacation

Well Gabe went on his first vacation! We spent 5 days in Point Pleasant, NJ. During the day, we mostly hung out at the pool. It was heated and Gabe loved swimming around. We made lots of new friends and enjoyed relaxing and getting some sun.

We went to the beach one day. Gabe was really scared of the ocean, hopefully next year he'll be more confident. He loved playing in the sand though.

Of course we went out to eat a lot! Gabe's favorite thing about vacation was boats. Every time we put him in the car seat, he'd say "a boat, a boat" because he knew he'd probably get to see a boat at dinner!

Getting back on the blog train!

I have been slacking big time. Now that it is summer, I'm hoping to post more regularly about our sweet boy. So much has happened since he turned one!

Some of our favorite things about him right now:

He's trying to talk. Lots of words, sentences, yelling, etc. We have a bunch of different flash cards and he really amazes us with how many words he can say. Some are more recognizable than others.

He knows what things are! If we say swimming or outside, he gets really excited. If we try to give him something he doesn't want, he says "no" and shakes his head. We really like the increase in communication!

Whenever he hears music, the dancing begins.

Right now our days are busy with playing outside; his bubble mower is his favorite but he also likes baseball. After his nap, we have been going to the pool - which he loves. He's a little too brave in the water, I really have to keep an eye on him.

More to come!

Happy 2011 :)

Well I am a big time blog slacker. I need to get back on track here!

Gabe turned one and he completes our life! We love him so much we just can't stand it!

He's now walking (sometimes almost running), trying to climb, saying a few words, and being a picky eater! So we have a perfect, typical toddler! He loves to pick toys up and throw them. His favorite "toy" right now is Nate's old cell phone - he likes to make the ringtones play. Don't ask me how he gets to the music section, I wonder myself.

Here are a few pictures:
